Have any of you considered that the pre-sear char may just be there as a permanent pre-sear char to help out friends or guildmates or something? They're not doing it so they can be superior to anyone. That's the most ridiculous statement in this thread.

Thats not rediculous at all. Why are you so sensitive?

Lot's of people keep a character to in pre-sear to log onto and help someone out. Usually though, they have a main and play that, then log on to help someone. They don't spend hours upon hours going through a tedious multi-death monster leveling procedure so the can "help people out and not be superior". You can do that just fine at level 8 - 9, easily. The only reason one levels to 15+ in pre-sear is so they can walk around and gather attention, have their name mentioned on various player forums, and generally be special.

There's nothing wrong with that really. If you pay $50 to play the game, play it any way you want inside the rules of the TOS/EULA. But really, at least be honest as to what's going on. People are free to pursue a little special attention if that's what they want, and others are free to point out that it's not really one of those challenges that require a lot of skill. Personally I have a feeling it is one of those things to satisfy a need to grind. Some people miss the grind reward that other games provide and just want to satisfy it.

She's 20 now. My jaw hit the floor when I first saw her. I thought it was a dev or something at first, but she's either strangely silent or speaking in a way unbecoming an official rep. She even has her own fanclub of people running around talking about how she owns souls and stuff.

I told my brother in chat what I was looking at and forgot to get a screenie. Then later this last weekend got one to send to him. That was when I noticed a whole slew of L14s and L15s in Ascalon City.

I knew it (leveling that high in pre-sear) was a timesink, but I had no idea anybody had put THIS much time into it.

Well... i dunno how u ppl get to lvl 16 and 17 in pre-sear!! WOW! I barely got to lvl 10 there. Plus killing charr can get sooooo incredibly BORING<><><><>

ya.. i useally leave pre seering at lvl 3.. after getting the skills i can get in pre.
